Meeting Cost Ticker

Weaponize real-time cost to demonstrate meeting absurdity.

Current Meeting Cost: $0.00

The true cost of a meeting isn't just the sum of salaries in the room; it's the total cost to the business. We use a "Loaded Rate" to better represent this reality.

The "Loaded Rate" Multiplier

An employee's hourly rate is only part of their cost. Businesses also pay for benefits (health insurance, retirement), payroll taxes, and overhead (office space, software). A standard multiplier, typically between 1.3x and 1.5x, is used to estimate this "loaded" cost. We use a conservative 1.4x multiplier.

CostPerSecond = (NumParticipants * AvgHourlyRate * 1.4) / 3600
